The Morocco Desert Challenge is a major cross-country rally-raid held in Morocco, featuring a linear coast-to-coast route from Ouarzazate to Saïdia. Recognized by the Moroccan motorsport federations and organized under official licenses, the event combines competitive rally racing with strong logistical support and high safety standards. The 2026 edition includes technical and administrative checks in Ouarzazate, followed by eight off-road stages crossing desert plains, dunes, salt lakes, riverbeds, and classic rally-raid tracks before finishing on the Mediterranean coast. The event is open to a wide range of participants through multiple categories, including Rally Pro, Adventure Raid, Assistance, and VIP options. Rally Pro competitors race against the clock using a digital roadbook and GPS navigation system, while the Adventure Raid category offers a non-competitive alternative focused on discovery and experience, with a separate route and full organizational support. Vehicles include motorcycles, quads, SSVs, cars, and trucks, making the Morocco Desert Challenge one of the largest and most diverse rally-raid events in the world.
