2026 Optimist World Championship

The 2026 Optimist World Championship is organized by the Royal Yacht Club de Tanger under the authority of the International Optimist Dinghy Association (IODA). It is an international youth sailing championship held in Tanger, with racing based in Tanger Bay and the venue at the Royal Yacht Club de Tanger. The championship includes the Optimist Individual World Championship and the Optimist Team Racing World Championship. The program includes registration, measurement, opening and closing ceremonies, individual races, team racing, and reserve days. Entry is through national Optimist associations, and the event is open to sailors born in 2011 or later.
