MDS Handi is an inclusive desert trekking event organized within the Marathon des Sables ecosystem, taking place in the Moroccan Sahara with logistics linked to Ouarzazate Province. The event is designed for teams including participants with disabilities, following adapted routes across desert landscapes and sharing part of the course with other MDS formats. The format includes approximately 70 km over three stages, completed in teams of four with support roles such as pushers or pullers. Participants follow a semi-autonomous model with adapted equipment including racing wheelchairs, bivouac accommodation tailored for accessibility, and logistical support ensuring participation throughout the challenge.
