MDS Legendary 2026

MDS Legendary is the flagship multi-stage desert ultramarathon of the Marathon des Sables series, held in the Moroccan Sahara with logistics based around Ouarzazate Province. This iconic event brings together participants from around the world to cross remote desert landscapes in a fully immersive expedition format. The event covers approximately 250 km over six stages in a self-sufficient format where participants carry their own equipment and food. The course includes a long stage of around 80–100 km and is completed either running or walking. Participants stay in traditional bivouacs, with water supply and medical assistance provided by the organization.
