Chatarras Raid – Destino Merzouga is a multi-day navigation raid taking place in the Erg Chebbi desert near Merzouga. The event is organized around a fixed bivouac located at the foot of the great dunes, allowing most stages to start and finish at the same point. The format emphasizes roadbook navigation and off-road driving across dunes, sandy tracks and desert terrain. Spanning seven stages across emblematic Moroccan landscapes, the raid prioritizes adventure, endurance and teamwork over speed. The focus is on reaching the finish line rather than racing performance, with strong attention given to participant safety, logistical support and shared bivouac life. Chatarras Raid is designed as an accessible yet demanding adventure experience, combining navigation challenges with a strong sense of community and solidarity.
