The Grand Prix Hassan II is an ATP Tour 250 men’s professional tennis tournament held on outdoor clay courts at the Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech. It features singles and doubles competitions and attracts an international field of players as part of the official ATP Tour calendar. The event stands out as the only ATP Tour tournament hosted on the African continent, making it a key fixture for tennis fans in the region. Originally launched as an ATP Challenger event in 1984, the tournament joined the ATP Tour in 1990 and has been staged in Marrakech since its relocation from Casablanca in 2016. Entirely funded by King Mohammed VI of Morocco, the event holds strong national significance, with Moroccan players Hicham Arazi and Younes El Aynaoui having both claimed the singles title on home soil.
