The Panda Raid is an amateur long-distance rally raid held in Morocco, dedicated primarily to Fiat Panda and similar vintage vehicles. The event is built around an old-school adventure concept, emphasizing endurance, navigation, and team spirit rather than speed or performance. Participants complete a multi-stage route across southern Morocco using a paper roadbook and basic navigation tools, with no GPS guidance allowed for navigation, reinforcing a classic rally-raid approach focused on intuition and orientation. The raid includes six stages across desert pistes, sandy areas, and remote landscapes, with overnight camps in the desert under bivouac-style conditions. Safety is ensured through satellite tracking devices installed in all vehicles, medical teams deployed along the route, and regular checkpoints staffed by race officials. While the objective is simply to reach the finish line, Panda Raid challenges participants both physically and mentally, offering a shared experience rooted in simplicity, mechanical reliability, and collective adventure.
