The Raid Stars is a vintage-oriented car raid held in Morocco, dedicated to French vehicles produced between 1980 and 1999. Open to crews of two people, or three depending on the vehicle model, the event covers approximately 2,600 km over multiple stages combining off-road tracks, desert pistes, and remote regions. It is not a speed race, but an endurance and navigation challenge based on roadbook guidance, daily distance accuracy, and team cohesion. Participants navigate using a traditional paper roadbook, with a GPS tracker used solely for safety and distance verification. A daily classification is published, contributing to an overall ranking across several categories, including Open, Women, and Student teams. The raid emphasizes accessibility, mechanical reliability, and mutual assistance, with technical support provided throughout the event, as well as bivouacs and hotel stages designed to recreate the spirit of classic amateur African raids.
