The Ultra Trail Relais Maroc (UTRM) is a long-distance trail and endurance event held in the desert landscapes around Ouarzazate, on the Skoura plateau at approximately 1,200 meters altitude. The main event covers a total distance of 103 km at a free pace and can be completed solo, in pairs, or in relay teams of four or eight participants. The course crosses desert tracks, oasis areas, and sparsely populated villages, offering an accessible endurance challenge open to both runners and walkers. The race start takes place near Ouarzazate, with refreshment points approximately every 15 km providing food and water, and logistical support ensured by accompanying vehicles throughout the course. Beyond the sporting aspect, the event includes a multi-day stay with accommodation, meals, and cultural activities, as well as a solidarity component, with health kits donated to local dispensaries and supplies distributed to children in villages along the route. The Ultra Trail Relais Maroc combines endurance sport, desert immersion, and collective experience in a non-competitive and inclusive format.
